La Peau hors du placard (Seuil, 2024) est une adaptation scénique en khmer du livre de Jean-Baptiste Phou sous forme d’un seul-en-scène. On y suit les aventures d’un homme homosexuel d’origine sino-cambodgienne né en France cherchant à habiter sa peau et le monde en tant que gay et asiatique. 

Jean-Baptiste Phou est un auteur et artiste pluridisciplinaire né en 1981 à Paris. Il a écrit et mis en scène Cambodge, me voici, a adapté au théâtre le roman de Soth Polin L’Anarchiste et a réalisé le court métrage La Langue de ma mère. Il est également l’auteur de La Peau hors du placard (Seuil, 2024) et des 80 mots du Cambodge (l’Asiathèque, 2024).

“ទម្លាយរបាំងស្បែក”គឺ​ជាល្ខោនសម្រួល​ជា​ភាសា​ខ្មែរ​ចេញពីសៀវភៅដែលមានចំណងជើងស្ដែងពីជីវិតតួអង្គរបស់ ភូ ស្សង់បាទីស៍្ត។ ក្នុងការសម្តែងទោលមួយនេះ​ យើងនឹងតាមដានពីដំណើរផ្សងព្រេងរបស់បុរសស្រលាញ់បុរសជនជាតិខ្មែរ-ចិនម្នាក់ ដែលកើតនៅប្រទេសបារាំង ដែលត្រួសត្រាយផ្លូវក្នុងការស្វែងរកខ្លួនឯង និងរៀនរស់នៅជាមួយស្បែករបស់ខ្លួន និងពិភពនៃអ្នកស្រលាញ់ភេទដូចគ្នា ព្រមទាំងអាស៊ី។

EN Coming Out of My Skin, by Jean-Baptiste Phou

Coming out of my Skin (Seuil, 2024) is a stage adaptation in Khmer of the book by Jean-Baptiste Phou in a one character play. It follows the adventures of a homosexual man of Chinese-Cambodian descent born in France, seeking to inhabit his skin and the world as a gay Asian.

Jean-Baptiste Phou is a multidisciplinary author and artist born in Paris in 1981. He wrote and directed Cambodge, me voici, adapted Soth Polin's novel The Anarchist for the stage, and directed the short film My Mother's Tongue. He is also the author of Coming Out of my Skin (Seuil, 2024) and 80 Words from Cambodia (l'Asiathèque, 2024).
