Join us for a new cinema rendez-vous at the Institut français! IFC is launching its Cineclub, where a Cambodian director is invited to choose a film that they find personally inspiring or technically impressive. For this May, we are featuring Mr. Seng Thy, a Cambodia-based filmmaker, writer, and content creator whose work explores human relationships, social realities, and emotional resilience through visually driven storytelling. Blending cinematic aesthetics with culturally grounded narratives, his projects reflect contemporary Cambodian life while engaging with universal themes. Alongside his film work, he continues to develop original projects including the feature film Echoes of Stone Temple, as well as digital series and short-form content. His practice reflects a commitment to elevating Cambodian storytelling on the global stage while maintaining an authentic and contemporary voice.

Haunted by strange visions and the sudden appearance of Jenny, her estranged half-sister, Sophea returns to her grandmother’s village in search of truth.
