Tunisie, dans les jardins de Carthage, un quartier nouveau où les constructions modernes se juxtaposent aux chantiers abandonnés et aux friches vacantes, le corps d’un gardien est retrouvé calciné au milieu d’un chantier. Batal, un flic d’une cinquantaine d’années est chargé de l’enquête, il est assisté par sa jeune nièce, Fatma, une femme de trente ans. Les enquêteurs commencent par interroger les ouvriers des chantiers voisins mais sont loin d'imaginer ce qui les attend réellement dans cette affaire...

In the Gardens of Carthage, a district of Tunis initiated by the former Regime which construction stopped at the beginning of the Revolution, two cops, Fatma and Batal, find a burnt body in one of the lots. As construction slowly resumes, they start looking into this mysterious case. When the event repeats itself, the investigation takes a puzzling turn.
